The experts and leaders listened to Ldet Energy’s provincial “pioneer” and “leader” The report on the implementation of major scientific and technological projects highly praised Ldet Energy's scientific and technological project management and R&D progress, and successfully passed the mid-term inspection and acceptance of Ldet Energy. At the same time, it also targeted Ldet Energy's next stage. Rational suggestions were put forward for specific work.
Background information:
The sustainable development of PET recycling and reuse will make a huge contribution to achieving global carbon neutrality. The consumption of PET bottles in my country has increased year by year, and my country is also a major PET bottle recycling country. According to the American Plastic Recycling Association's benchmark calculation of CO2 generated for every kg of PET produced, the carbon emissions of recycled PET will be significantly reduced, so it is necessary to carry out efficient recycling of PET. Physical recycling will significantly reduce the mechanical properties, packaging safety and scope of use of the final product. The overall efficiency of biological recycling is low and difficult to industrialize. Experiments and experience have proved that chemical recycling is the only method that can keep product performance unchanged. Methods, especially glycolysis technology has gradually developed into the most important recycling method for PET recycling. The rapid development of ionic liquids and nanotechnology provides efficient, environmentally friendly, quickly recyclable and reusable catalysts for PET depolymerization.
Zhejiang Ldet Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd. has undertaken the research and development work of Zhejiang Province's "vanguard" and "leader" major scientific and technological projects - "High-performance catalysts and their industrial applications - magnetic recyclable ionic liquid catalysts and PET degradation". Ldet's project R&D team has successfully developed the first generation of "three-in-one" cobalt nano-metal-based ionic liquid catalyst preparation technology, achieved efficient PET fermentation, and obtained high-purity BHET monomers. The pilot experiment has been completed and achieved good results. By comparing the progress made in the small-scale experiment with the public data of the Dutch company Ornica, the results achieved have basically reached the international advanced level. Our self-developed nano-metal-based ionic liquid catalysts have explored a world-leading innovative path for the efficient closed-loop recycling of PET by chemical methods to obtain "high-purity and high-end chemicals BHET".
