How to deal with the dual carbon policy? Ldet Technology gives the answer!

Recently, Ren Xuhua, Chairman of Ldet Technology, shared "Under the Dual Carbon Policy: Opportunities and Challenges of the Application of Ionic Liquid New Materials in the Field of Lithium-ion New Energy".

Chairman Ren Xuhua pointed out that ionic liquids are widely used in solvents, electrolytes, electrochemistry and other industries, especially in lithium battery electrolytes as additives to improve the energy density, cycle life and safety of lithium batteries; reduce production costs; and reduce the pollution of lithium batteries to the environment.

He took the application of ionic liquid green extractants to replace the highly toxic dichloromethane solvent in the wet process of lithium battery diaphragms as an example, and believed that the ionic liquid extraction process has the advantages of reducing investment, reducing production costs, being safe and green, and ensuring quality, which is conducive to increasing membrane speed, reducing equipment corrosion, and reducing static electricity. It can help the diaphragm industry move forward in a green, low-carbon and cost-reducing way!

Ldet Technology is also working with Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, and the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to jointly develop ionic liquid-based solid electrolytes. It has sent samples of its original ionic liquid solid electrolytes to leading battery companies for evaluation. The solid-state batteries formed by this type of electrolyte can have good advantages in safety performance, energy density, and industrial collaboration.

He believes that with technological advances, the application of ionic liquids in lithium batteries will become more extensive and the market size will grow rapidly, but it still requires strong policy support and further market verification; to this end, we should increase research and development investment in new ionic liquid materials in lithium battery applications, improve technical levels and product quality; establish industry standards for new ionic liquid materials in lithium battery applications; strengthen cooperation with international peers, share technological achievements, and jointly promote the development of new ionic liquid materials in lithium battery applications.
